Wind Damage Repair
Some homeowners think wind-damaged property is something they can see, but sometimes, problems with a wind-damaged roof aren’t visible right away. With a shingled roof, you may notice blown-off shingles following a windstorm, but simply replacing the shingles, or tacking the existing ones back onto the roof may not entirely fix your problem. Damage can also exist in your roof structure as well. High winds can cause shingles to tear their adhesives, which can completely tear off the roof.
Two of the largest problems with wind-damaged roofs is delamination and creasing. Delamination is when layers of roofing material separate and cannot be resealed. Creasing occurs when a seal breaks and the semi-loose shingle folds back to form a crease. Oftentimes, both require entire roof replacement.
Other problems requiring wind damage repair:
- Holes in the roof
- Split seams
- Shingle granules collecting in downspouts or gutters
