Water Damage Repair
Water damage is a serious problem that can give property owners unwanted headaches. It can cause thousands of dollars’ worth of damage by not only damaging your home, but also damaging furniture, electronics, and household appliances. Floods and heavy snow and rain are a large cause of water problems and can lead to unwanted water to collect in basements and lower levels. Sometimes, a leaky roof can cause rainwater or melting snow to drip into your home, whereas foundation cracks can lead water into your basement.
Water damage doesn’t always come from rain or natural disasters. If you’re finding water where you shouldn’t, the issue could rest with another problem in or around your home, as well.
Other causes of water damage:
- Leaky dishwashers/dishwasher hoses
- Broken pipes
- Overflowing washing machines
- Plumbing leaks
- Broken sprinklers
No matter the cause, we will work with your insurance company to assess the degree of water damage from one of four classes. Class 1 is the least harmful form, where materials absorb very little water and can be easily repaired. Class 2 means the water has a fast evaporation rate, but carpet and flooring can still be greatly damaged. Class 3 has the fastest rate of evaporation, and the amount of water damage is at its highest. The cause can be anything from broken sprinklers or leaky roofs, damaging the walls and furniture. Class 4 is where you’ll see the most water damage and will require special restoration and water removal procedures. It is the most destructive to your home and will require extensive amounts of repair.
